关怀同工退修营 Care-givers & Social Ministers Retreat

缘起

在大马，关怀弱势群体是一项十分吃重又富挑战的差事。 再加上社会工作的专业不被看重及不被认定， 许多关怀人员都在僧多粥少的情况下一脚踢。忙于照顾他们满腔热忱服务的对象时，自己有意无意将自己及家人身心灵的需要给忽略了。可悲的是，不少关怀同工徘徊在放弃与崩耗的边缘。

是时候大马社会开始认真看待关怀人员的福利并学习珍惜他们为不幸群体的付出。《全人关怀团队》本着为关怀同工们加油打气的使命，为他们精心策划了首创的关怀同工退修会。希望透过悠闲却不失动力的四天三夜营会，为受伤的关怀同工疗伤， 助缺乏专业自信的同工补习，给疲惫的同工好好休息再上路。

目的:

1． 透过休闲活动，激励讲座，心灵辅导及健康检验来关心关怀同工的全人需要

2． 透过专业社会工作的课程来加强关怀同工在职服务的技能， 知识与自信心

3． 透过商家赞助的书本， 营养补助品及精美礼品来祝福关怀同工的日常需要

对象：

服侍老人，孤儿，囚犯，残障人士，艾滋病患，叛逆青少年，单亲家庭，戒毒者，戒赌者及原住民等全职及部分时间的基督徒关怀同工和志工。

费用：每人RM500。关怀同工只需付RM50。

另RM450 则由教会/其他个人赞助。

Scenario

In Malaysia, to care for disadvantaged group is a heavy and challenging job. It doesn’t help that the profession of social work is being overlooked and under recognized, rendering many of care-givers are heavily tasked to perform an all round role. While they passionately busy on serving their target group, very often they neglected the physical and spiritual needs of themselves and their family. Pitifully, quite some care-givers are hovering between the edges of giving-up and burn-out.

It’s time for Malaysia society to look seriously into the welfare of care-givers and learn to treasure their contribution towards the unfortunate community. Histeam with the mission to encourage the care-givers is organizing a care-givers retreat. Our aim is for a relaxing yet energizing 4D3N retreat, we are able to comfort those who were hurt, inspire the professional confidence, and to relieve and refresh those tired and weary.

Goals:

1. To care for holistic needs of care-givers via leisure activities, enlivened talks, spiritual counseling, and health checks.
2. To enhance the skills, knowledge, and self-confidence of care-givers via professional social work course.
3. To bless the needs of care-givers via free books, food supplements, and gifts sponsored.

Target Group：

Full and part time Christian care-givers and volunteers who care for old folks, orphan, prisoner, disabled, aids patient, marginal teenage, single parent, rehabilitant, ex-gambler, and orang-asli.

Fees:  RM500/pax.  Care-giver pays only RM50.

The balance RM450 will be sponsored by churches/individuals.
