“关怀入中国，关怀出中国”
听到神州大地的呼声好一些时候了。好几次受邀回应当地贫困残疾及弱势的需要。奈何所委身本土的关怀事工都在起步阶段，分身乏术。去年因回应四川512地震后赈灾的工程，神把我带到了现场目睹中国国内教会对关怀的负担及热忱之澎湃。今年响应了“华夏宣教神学使团”的邀约，代表《全人》前往中国参与祝福当地神学教育广大禾场的需要。2009年五月趁前往四川跟进地震后续的重建，我与家人一同前往温州两个神学学习点教导“教会与社会关怀”课程。同年11月也在杭州及温州教导同一个科目。每次教导完毕，神州牧长及学生都在回馈中为他们能从神的话语中领受爱神爱人的诫命及教会走入弱势群体的呼召感激不尽。他们恒切呼求圣灵将关怀的异象及爱人如己的热忱浇灌之迫切让我刻骨铭心。个人意识到要趁着还有机会回应中国的需要，赶紧投身浇灌中华并预备好福音及关怀输出中国。
“关怀入神学，神学出关怀”
神不小看我年轻，让我早在2004年有机会参与本土一些神学课程的教导。神为《全人》开路，今年让我们分别在“以赛亚学校”，“大马禧福基层训练学院”，“沙巴神学院”，“马来西亚圣经神学院”及“马来西亚浸信神学院”开办以下相关的课程。

4. 拓展关怀事工的预备
我们战兢承担这塑造未来华人教会响应大诫命的教育责任。祈愿神预备未来的全时间仆人及领袖更愿意化成基督的手脚，顺服主的吩咐“你去照样作吧”让神学也落实关怀。
Holistic cares enter into China; Holistic cares come out of China
I’ve been hearing the calling to respond to the needs in China for quite some time. I’ve also been invited several times to respond to the needs of the poor and marginalized group over there. However, due to our local caring ministry is still in the infancy stage, it’s really hard for me to spare any time there. Last year, when we responded to the Sichuan Earthquake relief and rebuilding projects, God brought me to China to witness with my own eyes how great is the burden and passion of the local churches in China toward caring ministry. This year, I heed the invitation of “Hua Xia Mission”,represent HISTEAM to teach in the local theological school of China. In May 2009, as my family and I went to Sichuan to follow up on Sichuan Earthquake rebuilding work progress, we also went to Wen Zhou and delivered the course “Introduction to church’s social ministry” in two different theological schools. At the same year in November, I taught the same subject in theological school in Hang Zhou and Wen Zhou respectively. Every time after teaching, the pastors and students in China show great appreciation for the enlightenment from the Bible about the Great Commandment to love God and others and why the church needs to walk into the lives of the marginalized group. I’m touched every time I watched them praying fervently and earnestly inviting Holy Spirit to pour down the vision of caring and the passion of loving others as ourselves. Personally I realize that I should respond to the needs in China, nurture the Church while opportunity still available, while getting myself ready when gospel and cares come out of China soon.

God does not look down on me because I’m young. He guides me as early as in year 2004 to teach social concern courses in our local seminaries. This year God opened the way for HISTEAM because we were given the opportunity to teach in “Isaiah School”, “Jubilee Initiatives Malaysia”, “Sabah Theological Seminary”, “Malaysia Bible Seminary” and “Malaysia Baptist Theological Seminary”. Courses taught were:
1. Introduction to church’s social ministry
2. Caring for the poor and marginalized in Malaysia
3. Holistic mission and holistic caring
4. Preparation before establishment of caring ministry
With fear and trembling, we shoulder the educational responsibility of moulding the future Chinese churches to respond to the Great Commandment. Prayerfully that God will prepare future pastors and leaders to be more willing to be the hands and feet of Christ. Thus obey God’s “Go and do likewise”, so that through studies, caring will also being realized.
