中美洲小国海地（Haiti）在今年1月12日发生7级大地震。《全人》发起为海地代收赈灾的募款，截至30/4已经筹到RM82,856.60。我们已经将义款全数交付美洲区域的国际赈灾伙伴HISG“国际人道服务组织”。更多的赈灾汇报以及结案报告将在下一期刊登。
4月14日，青海玉树被7.1级地震强烈摇憾。《全人》与《慨施》（CREST）联手回应。《全人》所推荐的一位大马专业心理医师于4月25日出发前往灾区勘测,并携带马币一万令吉祝福前线的紧急物资补发。在此愿呼吁众教会先以祷告与金钱来回应这项刻不容缓的需要，不要让上帝的怜悯与慈爱停在自己手中。让我们按着祂的心意，把手伸出去，以行动来安抚玉树的痛。
God’s Mercy Flows from Your Hand
On 12th January, a 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck Haiti, a small Caribbean country. HISTEAM has initiated Haiti Disaster Relief Fund and managed to raise RM 82,856.60 due 30th April. We have channelled the total fund raised to Humanitarian International Services Group (HISG), an international disaster relief partner in United States. More updates of disaster relief and closing report will be published in the next issue.
On 14th April, Yushu in Qinghai was hit by severe earthquake of 7.1-magnitude. HISTEAM and CREST respond to it in collaboration. One Malaysian professional psychologist recommended by HISTEAM was sent to the disaster zone on 25th April for recce together with RM10,000 to bless the organization who worked at the front line, distributing emergency material aid. Here we would like to urge churches to respond to this urgent need by praying and offering. Don’t let God’s mercy and love freeze in your hand. Let us act according to His mind, stretch out our hand and comfort the pain of Yushu in our action.
